The polished stainless-steel trough measures 330 mm in total length with a 215 mm overhang and handles feed rates from 5 g/min to 2500 g/min. Vibration conveys material from the hopper in a steady stream to the free end of the channel; amplitude is adjusted on a separate control unit whose microprocessor electronics maintain even delivery of the smallest quantities. Typical uses include sample dividers, mills, mixers and balances. The swivel hopper simplifies cleaning, while the wide U-trough can be exchanged for a V-trough when a narrow, targeted outlet is required.
