LAUDA Puridest PD 4 DG is a fully automatic glass bi-distillation water still designed for laboratory production of high-purity distillate. Suitable for both wall mounting and benchtop installation, it delivers mono-distillate with a conductivity of 2,2 µS/cm and bi-distillate of 1,6 µS/cm at 25 °C, at a production rate of 4 L/h. Distillation boilers, condensers and overflows are made of DURAN® / borosilicate glass 3.3; condensers feature droplet-repellent vapour guidance and can be sterilised by steaming. A CO2 degassing opening is provided on the condenser. Quartz-glass-sheathed heating rods, electronic level monitoring with automatic power cut-off on water shortage, and an electronic dirt sensor that triggers automatic rinsing support reliable continuous operation. Distillate is withdrawn via a hose connection on the right-hand side. The unit from manufacturer Lauda includes integrated separate water feed for pretreated boiler supply (½'' hose), magnetic valve water control and automatic shut-off to save cooling water (2,4 L/min). Housing is powder-coated galvanised steel sheet. Maximum heating power and power consumption are 5,8 kW. Dimensions are 650 × 365 × 390 mm; net weight is 26 kg.
