Description
Macro cuvette type 6030-OG is an optical-glass spectroscopy cell with a 20 mm path length, PTFE flap lid and a fill volume of 7,000 µl. It covers a wavelength range from 360 nm to 2500 nm and provides transmission greater than 80 % for accurate photometric results. The cell is thermally bonded rather than glued, giving high resistance to temperature and chemicals and helping prevent unwanted leakage of liquids. Chamfered edges enable safe, comfortable handling and minimise the risk of chipping during everyday use. Hellma® macro cuvettes from manufacturer Hellma are manufactured entirely in Germany to high precision, supporting continuously reproducible measurement results, and can be cleaned and reused as a sustainable alternative to single-use cells. Production follows EN ISO 9001 and EN ISO 14001 and meets demanding optical standards. Supplied as one piece, this 6030-OG macro cuvette is intended for spectroscopy applications that require optical glass performance from the near-UV into the NIR range with a defined 20 mm path length.

Questions about macro cell, 6030
What is this article?
macro cell, 6030 is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Hellma (IDL) for laboratory use. It sits in Cuvettes, in Labware.
A cuvette is an optical cell. The spectrophotometer or photometer sends a beam through a defined path length, usually 10 mm, and the absorbance is read from that path. Glass is for the visible range. Quartz or a UV-grade plastic is required below about 320 nm, because ordinary glass absorbs there. The path length and the wavelength window are the two numbers that choose the cell. The optical methods that use it sit with NIST and the BIPM. Laboratory ware is indexed under ISO laboratory apparatus.
