Description

DURAN® measuring cylinder, low form, class B, 100 ml, brown graduated is a volumetric glassware item fabricated from borosilicate glass 3.3 for everyday laboratory volume determination. It adopts the low-form (short) profile, meets class B accuracy requirements and is furnished with a brown line graduation of 2 ml according to DIN EN ISO 4788 (100:2 ml). The permanent brown scale remains clearly visible with coloured or colourless liquids and facilitates accurate meniscus observation. Packs contain 2 pieces and are supplied by manufacturer Hirschmann for routine measuring, dilution and reagent preparation duties. Borosilicate glass 3.3 delivers the mechanical strength and chemical durability expected in standard laboratory environments. Nominal capacity is 100 ml (0,1 l) with a net weight of 0,274 kg. The compact low-form design enhances bench stability relative to tall cylinders while preserving the volumetric performance demanded by class B specifications. These measuring cylinders are appropriate for aqueous media and many common organic solvents wherever standardised glassware conforming to DIN EN ISO 4788 is required.

This article is part of Measuring cylinders, in Volumetric glassware.

Questions about MEASURING CYLINDERS B 100 ML, LOW FORM, SHORT LINE,AMB. GRAD

What is this article?

MEASURING CYLINDERS B 100 ML, LOW FORM, SHORT LINE,AMB. GRAD is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Hirschmann for laboratory use. It sits in Measuring cylinders, inside Volumetric glassware, in Labware.

A measuring cylinder is the tall graduated vessel for a volume that does not need volumetric-flask accuracy. Class A and class B differ in tolerance. Reading the bottom of the meniscus, at eye level, is part of using it.

Volumetric glassware is glass that has been calibrated to contain or to deliver one stated volume at a reference temperature. That calibration is the whole point. Class A and class AS have a tighter tolerance than class B. A volumetric flask contains. A pipette and a burette deliver. A measuring cylinder is the coarser reading, used when the volume is not the result. The classes sit under ISO laboratory glassware. The chain back to the unit of volume is the work of the BIPM and of NIST.
