Description

HistoBond® adhesive microscope slides are designed for reliable attachment of tissue sections on specially prepared adhesive surfaces. Produced from soda-lime glass of the third hydrolytic class, the slides measure approximately 76 × 26 mm in line with DIN ISO 8037/1 and have a thickness of about 1 mm. Edges are ground at 90° and a 20 mm frosted marking area is provided on both sides for clear labelling and orientation. These slides support applications conforming to EU Regulation 2017/746 for in-vitro diagnostic medical devices (IVDR); they carry the CE mark together with a recommended use-by date and batch number to ensure comprehensive information and full traceability. Packed 50 pieces per cardboard box with 50 boxes per carton, the format suits routine histology and pathology workflows. The HistoBond® slides from manufacturer Marienfeld offer consistent adhesion performance for tissue sections while remaining easy to handle and mark in daily laboratory use. Ideal for laboratories that require standardised dimensions, defined edge quality and documented batch control for diagnostic section mounting.

Questions about Microscope slides HistoBond®, 50/box,

What is this article?

Microscope slides HistoBond®, 50/box, is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Marienfeld for laboratory use. It sits in Microscope slides & cover glasses, inside Microscopy & histology, in Lab instruments.

A slide is the glass a specimen sits on. A cover glass is the thin sheet over it, of a thickness the objective was designed for. A cover glass of the wrong thickness softens the image. Charged and plain slides hold sections differently.

A light microscope forms an image with glass lenses and transmitted or reflected light. A stereo microscope is the lower-magnification instrument for dissecting and for looking at a surface. Fluorescence needs a light source and filters matched to the dye. Histology is the preparation that makes a tissue readable: fixation, a cassette, a section, a stain. The objective's magnification and numerical aperture decide the resolution. The slide and the cover glass decide whether the section sits in the focal plane. Stains and dyes as substances are identified on PubChem. Papers on the methods are on PubMed.
