Description
UniMark® microscope slides with a pink writing field are precision glass slides measuring approximately 76 × 26 × 1 mm. They feature 90° ground edges with ground corners bevelled at 45°, offering a secure, comfortable profile for routine microscopy and staining work. The pink marking area provides a durable surface for specimen labelling with pencil or marker. Designed for applications in accordance with EU Regulation 2017/746 for in-vitro diagnostic medical devices (IVDR), the slides carry the CE mark together with a recommended expiry date and batch number for complete information and traceability. From manufacturer Marienfeld, the slides are packed in boxes of 50 pieces, with 2,500 pieces per outer carton; the outer carton is sealed in a waterproof aluminium bag for added protection during storage and transport. Supplied as a 10.000-piece unit, they suit histology, cytology, pathology and general laboratory microscopy where reliable edge quality and clear sample identification are required. Consistent dimensions and the finished edge geometry support safe handling and optical performance in everyday workflows.

Questions about Microscope slides UniMark® pink, ground edges
What is this article?
Microscope slides UniMark® pink, ground edges is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Marienfeld for laboratory use. It sits in Microscope slides & cover glasses, inside Microscopy & histology, in Lab instruments.
A slide is the glass a specimen sits on. A cover glass is the thin sheet over it, of a thickness the objective was designed for. A cover glass of the wrong thickness softens the image. Charged and plain slides hold sections differently.
A light microscope forms an image with glass lenses and transmitted or reflected light. A stereo microscope is the lower-magnification instrument for dissecting and for looking at a surface. Fluorescence needs a light source and filters matched to the dye. Histology is the preparation that makes a tissue readable: fixation, a cassette, a section, a stain. The objective's magnification and numerical aperture decide the resolution. The slide and the cover glass decide whether the section sits in the focal plane. Stains and dyes as substances are identified on PubChem. Papers on the methods are on PubMed.
