Description

Mixed-bed resin MB400, 25 l is a ready-to-use ion-exchange mixture for full demineralisation of smaller water volumes in cartridges and compact filters. MB400 combines a strongly acidic cation exchanger in the H⁺ form with a strongly basic anion exchanger in the OH⁻ form; the particle sizes of both components are matched so that the bed can be separated for regeneration and reused. According to the manufacturer data, capacity is given as 0,5 val/l, while the usable volume capacity is at least 0,6 eq/l of resin. The attainable electrical conductivity of the produced demineralised water lies clearly below 1 µS/cm. Thanks to effective silica removal, MB400 is recommended when extremely low residual silica levels are required in VE water. Supplied as a 25 l sack from manufacturer Evoqua Water Technologies, this mixed-bed resin is intended as accessory media for ion exchangers and small demineralisation systems. It supports laboratory and technical pure-water duties where high-quality mixed-bed performance and regenerability are needed.

This article is part of Sorbents, silica gel & ion exchangers, in SPE & sample preparation.

Questions about Mixed bed resin MB400, 25L

What is this article?

Mixed bed resin MB400, 25L is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Evoqua Water Technologies for laboratory use. It sits in Sorbents, silica gel & ion exchangers, inside SPE & sample preparation, in Chromatography equipment.

Loose sorbent, silica gel and ion-exchange resin are the phases bought in bulk to pack a column or to stir into a solution. Particle size and activity, or the ion-exchange capacity, are the specification. A TLC silica and a flash silica of different particle sizes are not the same separation.

Solid-phase extraction holds a compound on a sorbent while the rest of the sample is washed away, then releases it in a small volume. The sorbent, the bed mass and the solvents are the method. Silica, ion exchangers and polymer phases do different jobs. A flash column is the same idea scaled toward purification rather than trace cleanup. The molecules are on PubChem, named by IUPAC.
