Description

Präzitherm® precision hot plate type EB is a digital laboratory heating plate designed for controlled work from room temperature up to 350 °C. The 200 × 200 mm heating surface is made of anodised aluminium and delivers 800 W at 230 V AC, giving a compact yet powerful footprint for routine sample preparation, digestion and temperature-sensitive workflows. An asymmetric, fast-response special heating system with heat sensors and power matching to the actual heat demand produces precise setpoints and very uniform temperature distribution across the entire plate. This built-in unit is supplied with a separate built-in controller and includes overtemperature protection for safer unattended operation. The type EB configuration from manufacturer Gestigkeit suits installations where the controller is recessed into a panel or furniture cut-out while the plate remains freely accessible on the bench. A protective-contact (type F) mains connection supports standard European laboratory power. Offered as a single piece, the plate is intended for professional laboratory and industrial heating applications that require stable surface temperatures and even heat spread without hot spots.

What is this article?

Precision hotplate 200x200mm, type EB, with separate built-in controller, 350°C is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Gestigkeit for laboratory use. It sits in Hot plates & heating blocks, inside Heating, drying & cooling, in Lab instruments.

A hot plate heats a flat-bottom vessel from below, often with stirring. A heating block holds tubes in machined holes so each tube sees the same temperature. The block's hole diameter has to match the tube, or the heat never arrives.

Temperature equipment either holds a set point or drives a sample toward one. An oven dries. A furnace reaches the temperatures of ashing and melting. A bath surrounds a vessel with water or oil. A circulator moves that fluid. An incubator holds the mild warmth of a culture. An autoclave uses steam under pressure to sterilise. The number that matters is the temperature the article actually reaches, not the number painted on the dial. Temperature is part of the international system kept by the BIPM and compared by EURAMET.
