Description

Protegra CS PRO RO EDI 500 is a modular reverse osmosis system with continuous electrodeionisation (CEDI) for pure-water production at 500 l/h at 15 °C and a typical conductivity below 0,07 µS/cm from softened or hardness-stabilised feed water. Energy-efficient polyamide/polysulfone RO modules achieve strong inorganic rejection and permeate output while minimising energy use and water loss. The Ionpure CEDI module removes residual salt without self-exhaustion, and automatic pre-standby flushing limits ion accumulation on the RO membranes to help extend service life. Supplied as a quality-built cabinet system from manufacturer Evoqua Water Technologies, it features a front 7'' touch panel showing system status, feed, permeate and pure-water conductivity, flows for pure water, concentrate and brine, and alarms, with USB and microSD ports for data logging and updates. Microprocessor control enables fully automatic running with user-defined conductivity and flow setpoints. Removable front and side panels simplify service on the low-maintenance layout. Suitable feed water has conductivity below 1400 µS/cm, pressure 2,5–6,0 bar and temperature 5–30 °C; yield reaches 50–80 %. Net weight is 265 kg; dimensions are 650 × 665 × 1795 mm.

This article is part of Ultrapure & pure water systems, in Water purification.

Questions about Protegra CS PRO RO EDI 500 - Reverse Osmosis with Ionpure EDI, 500 l/h

What is this article?

Protegra CS PRO RO EDI 500 - Reverse Osmosis with Ionpure EDI, 500 l/h is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Evoqua Water Technologies for laboratory use. It sits in Ultrapure & pure water systems, inside Water purification, in Lab instruments.

A pure-water system, often by reverse osmosis and deionisation, feeds the laboratory. An ultrapure polisher takes that water to the resistivity and organic levels HPLC or cell culture ask for. Production rate and the feed water it expects are the specification. The system is not a cooler.

Laboratory water is a reagent. Tap water carries ions, organics and microbes that become part of every result they touch. A pure-water system takes most of them out. An ultrapure system, often a polisher after a first stage, is what HPLC, cell culture and trace analysis ask for. Resistivity, total organic carbon and endotoxin are different claims. A cartridge is spent when the number drifts, not when the calendar says so. The measurement of those impurities sits with NIST and the BIPM.
