Description

ROTI®elution Tubes MINI 14 are specialised elution tubes for extracting nucleic acids from agarose gels during horizontal electrophoresis work. The tubes accommodate working volumes from 10-250 µl, supporting small-volume recovery steps after electrophoretic separation of nucleic acid samples. The ROTI®elution Tube Tray is not part of this pack and should be ordered separately for convenient tube handling and organisation. This MINI 14 format is provided by manufacturer ROTH SELECTION within the ROTI®elution Tubes family used for gel-based nucleic acid extraction. Each pack weighs 0,005 kg, which simplifies storage next to electrophoresis tanks and documentation of consumable stock. Laboratories performing horizontal agarose electrophoresis can place the tubes directly into established elution sequences without altering the stated volume window. Distinct MINI 14 labelling helps users select the correct tube type when several elution formats are kept side by side in shared extraction workflows.

This article is part of Test tubes, in Tubes & vials.

Questions about ROTI®elution Tubes MINI 14, 10-250 µl, 2 unit(s)

What is this article?

ROTI®elution Tubes MINI 14, 10-250 µl, 2 unit(s) is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Carl Roth for laboratory use. It sits in Test tubes, inside Tubes & vials, in Labware.

A test tube is the open cylindrical vessel for a small liquid, in borosilicate glass or in plastic. Rimmed and rimless mouths differ. The size is diameter by length. It is not graduated for a result, and a glass tube that will be centrifuged has a force limit.

A tube holds a small sample upright. A test tube is the open glass or plastic cylinder. A centrifuge tube is conical so a pellet forms at the tip, and it is rated for a centrifugal force the rotor will actually reach. A vial is a small closed bottle, often for a sample that will sit in an instrument. NMR tubes are a special case: the glass has to be uniform or the spectrum is the tube, not the sample. Laboratory ware is listed under ISO laboratory glassware.
