Description

ROTI®Histokitt for histology is a ready-to-use synthetic mounting medium designed for permanent coverslipping of histological preparations. It enables clear, stable mounting of stained tissue sections for light-microscopic evaluation in pathology and research laboratories. Physical data include a density of 0,945 g/cm³, a flash point of 4,4 °C and a boiling point of approximately 110 °C; UN number 1866 applies for transport classification. As a synthetic formulation it supports reproducible slide finishing after staining protocols and helps protect specimens during storage and archiving. The ready-to-use presentation reduces preparation steps and supports standardised workflow from staining through coverslipping. Suitable for laboratories processing paraffin or related sections that require a reliable synthetic mountant. Observe flammable-liquid handling precautions given the reported flash point, and apply under appropriate ventilation and laboratory safety rules for solvent-based mounting media.

This article is part of Inorganic salts, in Inorganic chemicals.

What is this article?

ROTI®Histokitt for histology, synthetic mounting medium, 100 ml, glass is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Carl Roth for laboratory use. It sits in Inorganic salts, inside Inorganic chemicals, in Lab chemicals.

An inorganic salt is an ionic solid, a chloride, a sulfate, a nitrate, a phosphate. The degree of hydration changes the mass that contains one mole of the ion. Analytical grade limits the foreign ions. A hydrate and the anhydrous salt are not interchangeable by weight.

An inorganic chemical is a salt, an acid or base in solid form, a metal, an oxide, or an element. The waters of hydration are part of the formula: a hydrate and an anhydrous salt are different masses for the same ion. Trace metals matter when the salt will be used in analysis. Nanomaterials add particle size to the specification. Look the substance up on PubChem. Hazard classes are on ECHA, under the CLP Regulation and REACH. Transport of the dangerous ones is explained by the UNECE.
