Description

S 10 D - 7 G - KS - 110 is a plastic dispersing tool with a 7 mm diameter for the T 10 basic and T 10 standard laboratory dispersers. It covers a working volume of 1 to 40 ml and an immersion depth of 20 to 90 mm, supporting small-scale homogenisation, emulsification and sample preparation. Constructed from PC and PSU, the tool combines chemical resistance with a lightweight build suited to routine bench work. Maximum operating temperature is 100 °C, and the unit is autoclavable to simplify sterilisation between runs. This dispersing accessory from manufacturer IKA mates directly with the matching drive units for consistent dispersion performance. The plastic shaft is a practical alternative where metal contact is undesirable or where frequent replacement is expected. Supplied in packs of 24 pieces, it helps laboratories keep adequate spares on hand for multi-user or high-throughput settings. Net weight is 0,192 kg. Typical uses include tissue disruption, suspension preparation and general mixing tasks that benefit from a compact, autoclavable plastic dispersing element.

This article is part of Homogenisers & dispersers, in Stirring, shaking & mixing.

What is this article?

S 10 D - 7 G - KS - 110, Plastic dispersing element, Ø7 mm is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes IKA for laboratory use. It sits in Homogenisers & dispersers, inside Stirring, shaking & mixing, in Lab instruments.

A homogeniser or disperser uses a rotor inside a stator to tear a sample and disperse it. Tip diameter and speed decide the particle size. A generator for 2 mL and a generator for 1 L are different tools on, sometimes, the same drive.

Stirring keeps a mixture uniform or helps a solid dissolve. A magnetic stirrer spins a bar inside a closed vessel. An overhead stirrer drives a shaft when the liquid is viscous or the volume is large. A vortex mixer agitates a tube. A shaker moves a whole rack or a plate. The shape of the impeller and the speed decide whether the liquid turns over or merely spins. The vessels being stirred are indexed under ISO laboratory glassware.
