Description

SONOPULS KE 76 cone tip is a conically tapered sonotrode made from high-strength titanium alloy TiAl6V4 (3.7165). With a working diameter of 6 mm, it is intended for the sonication of small to medium liquid volumes in laboratory ultrasonic homogenisers. The tapered geometry provides multiple amplitude amplification and thereby generates very high ultrasonic power densities in the treated medium. Typical uses include cell and bacterial disruption in biology as well as reaction acceleration in chemistry, where efficient energy coupling into small sample batches is required. This KE 76 accessory forms part of the SONOPULS sonotrode range from manufacturer Bandelin and supports demanding laboratory tasks that need concentrated ultrasonic intensity. The net weight is 0,1 kg and the gross weight is 0,219 kg. Supplied as a single package unit, the cone tip offers a durable titanium working surface suited to repeated laboratory sonication workflows involving aqueous and related liquid systems.

Questions about SONOPULS FZ 5 G Flow-through standard horn

What is this article?

SONOPULS FZ 5 G Flow-through standard horn is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Bandelin for laboratory use. It sits in Homogenisers & dispersers, inside Stirring, shaking & mixing, in Lab instruments.

A homogeniser or disperser uses a rotor inside a stator to tear a sample and disperse it. Tip diameter and speed decide the particle size. A generator for 2 mL and a generator for 1 L are different tools on, sometimes, the same drive.

Stirring keeps a mixture uniform or helps a solid dissolve. A magnetic stirrer spins a bar inside a closed vessel. An overhead stirrer drives a shaft when the liquid is viscous or the volume is large. A vortex mixer agitates a tube. A shaker moves a whole rack or a plate. The shape of the impeller and the speed decide whether the liquid turns over or merely spins. The vessels being stirred are indexed under ISO laboratory glassware.
