Description
SONOPULS LS 40 noise protection box reduces the noise level generated during ultrasonic sonication of liquids by approximately 30 dB (AU). The robust door incorporates a large Plexiglas window that permits continuous visual monitoring of the process, while LED interior lighting and a ventilation system can be activated together via a side-mounted push-button. Both direct sonication with sonotrodes and indirect sonication using cup resonators or sonication cups are performed entirely inside the enclosure with the aid of a holding frame such as the HG 40. Sample vessels rest either in the removable stainless-steel drip tray or on the perforated plate above; an anti-slip mat prevents tipping. A lockable rear opening allows hose or cable feed-through for flow-through operation, external cooling or temperature-sensor connection. The door opens to 180° for convenient sample handling, and the stainless-steel interior surfaces wipe clean easily. Internal dimensions measure 350 × 310 × 880 mm, providing ample space for optional accessories. This noise protection box from manufacturer Bandelin is supplied as a complete package for laboratory ultrasonic homogeniser workstations.

Questions about SONOPULS HD 5100 Ultrasonic homogeniser
What is this article?
SONOPULS HD 5100 Ultrasonic homogeniser is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Bandelin for laboratory use. It sits in Homogenisers & dispersers, inside Stirring, shaking & mixing, in Lab instruments.
A homogeniser or disperser uses a rotor inside a stator to tear a sample and disperse it. Tip diameter and speed decide the particle size. A generator for 2 mL and a generator for 1 L are different tools on, sometimes, the same drive.
Stirring keeps a mixture uniform or helps a solid dissolve. A magnetic stirrer spins a bar inside a closed vessel. An overhead stirrer drives a shaft when the liquid is viscous or the volume is large. A vortex mixer agitates a tube. A shaker moves a whole rack or a plate. The shape of the impeller and the speed decide whether the liquid turns over or merely spins. The vessels being stirred are indexed under ISO laboratory glassware.
