Tube Mill control is a patented batch analytical mill that uses disposable grinding cups, eliminating cross-contamination and cleaning effort. Transparent cups and cover allow continuous observation of the grinding process. The mill handles hard (up to Mohs hardness 5), brittle and dry materials and is especially suitable for seed samples such as maize and wheat. Multiple safety interlocks ensure operation only with a closed hood, a correctly seated and closed cup; the cup cannot be opened during running. A labyrinth seal between drive and cups prevents dust escape or ingress. Continuously variable speed from 5000 to 25000 1/min, timer from 5 s to 3 min, switchable interval mode, programmable and storable conditions, adjustable safety speed and time, and an error-code display support reproducible results. A clear multilingual OLED display, USB interface for control and documentation, foil keypad, dust-tight housing and low noise complete the package from manufacturer IKA for analytical sample preparation.
