Eppendorf Tubes® 5,0 mL amber screw-cap tubes protect light-sensitive samples during molecular biology and PCR workflows. Each vessel holds a nominal 5,0 mL and is supplied in the PCR clean purity grade, free of human DNA, DNase, RNase and PCR inhibitors, as well as pyrogen-free. Amber colouring provides light shielding while the high-quality polypropylene body remains free of plasticisers, biocides and mould-release agents for reliable assay performance. Ergonomic screw caps with flattened, grooved sides ensure a firm grip and controlled opening. From manufacturer Eppendorf, the tubes support safe centrifugation up to 25.000 × g and a wide operating window from −86 °C to 100 °C. Their conical geometry fits many existing adapters and racks designed for conical 15 mL tubes. The pack contains 200 tubes (two bags of 100) and carries ACT independent sustainability validation by My Green Lab, suiting light-protected sample handling at intermediate volumes.
