Ultra Clear RO EDI 30 Reverse osmosis/ EDI combination
Pure water production from softened potable tap water. The system combines the technology of the reverse osmosis with the final deionization of the permeate by single bed electroeioni-
zation. The system is placed in a well-designed plastic housing.
The reverse osmosis component mainly consists of:
1 Solenoid valve for raw water
1 Pre-treatment module AMD, fine filter made of plastic, inclusive active carbon/fine filter cartridge 5 µm, front-side operated
1 Pressure switch as pump protection
1 High pressure pump made of brass with magnetic-coupled E-motor
1 Pressure gauge to indicate operating pressure
1 Module set with spiral-wound membranes, made of polyamide on a polysulphone basis, incl. pressure vessel with end caps
1 Solenoid valve for permeate reject when conductivity is exceeded
1 Conductivity meter for permeate
1 Restrictor for limiting the concentrate quantity
The Ionpure component mainly consists of:
1 Ionpure cell, two-pass, with chambers for anion and cation exchange resin and brine chambers, anodes, cathodes, ion-selective membranes and end plates
1 Conductivity meter for pure water
1 Restrictor for limiting the brine
1 Conditioning cartridge
Control:
Display with membrane keyboard with monitor for:
- Conductivity permeate and pure water
- Level indication storage tank in Percent for level sensors or fixed value for float switches
- 3 free selectable switching activating points ON/OFF and running dry-protection for booster pump
- Status indication via symbols
- Indications for maintenance intervals and replacement of cartridge
- Fault indication (insufficient raw water, insufficient permeate, conductance LF1 / LF 2)

Please note:
The performance is based on a raw water salt content of max. 750 mg/l (TDS) equivalent to a conductivity of 1400 µS/cm at 15°C. From 10°dH or higher, a softener is recommended.
All a. m. components are assembled into a complete system. The Ultra Clear RO EDI can be put into operation without the help of a factory service engineer.
The feed water specifications are guidelines. The pure water specifications can only be guaranteed, if a drinking water analysis is available for the plant location and all other relevant
parameters have been evaluated.
