The working temperature range extends from at least 5 °C above ambient up to +300 °C, while the set temperature range is +20 °C to +300 °C. The unit is supplied with two grid shelves and a stainless-steel door, plus an electronically adjustable exhaust air flap that can be set from 0 % to 100 % in 10 % steps. An Ethernet interface supports readout of protocol data, and a double overtemperature protection system together with an integrated data logger (storage capacity for at least 10 years) help secure process documentation. Three calibration values can be entered at the ControlCOCKPIT; a factory calibration certificate for +160 °C is included. Exterior structured stainless-steel housing measures 824 x 1183 x 684 mm and the stainless-steel interior 640 x 800 x 500 mm. Operating voltage is 230 V, 50/60 Hz, with a maximum power consumption of approximately 3400 W. This SingleDISPLAY model from manufacturer Memmert is suited to general drying, heating and thermal processing tasks in research and quality-control laboratories.

Questions about Universal oven UN260, 256l, 20-300 °C

What is this article?

Universal oven UN260, 256l, 20-300 °C is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Memmert for laboratory use. It sits in Drying ovens & climate chambers, inside Heating, drying & cooling, in Lab instruments.

A drying oven holds a temperature above ambient to drive off water or to condition a sample. A climate chamber also holds humidity. Uniformity across the chamber, not only the set point, decides whether two samples on different shelves saw the same conditions.

Temperature equipment either holds a set point or drives a sample toward one. An oven dries. A furnace reaches the temperatures of ashing and melting. A bath surrounds a vessel with water or oil. A circulator moves that fluid. An incubator holds the mild warmth of a culture. An autoclave uses steam under pressure to sterilise. The number that matters is the temperature the article actually reaches, not the number painted on the dial. Temperature is part of the international system kept by the BIPM and compared by EURAMET.
