Description
Dispensing system for solvent outlet bend, 60 cm, is a portable barrel-pump assembly designed for safe transfer of solvents from drums or canisters into smaller containers or directly to the point of use. The unit combines a barrel pump with a fixed outlet bend and a steplessly adjustable immersion tube that can be matched to the vessel in use. Overpressure generated with compressed air or inert gas such as nitrogen drives the liquid out of the container, so larger volumes can be dispensed with both hands free for accurate dosing via the outlet stopcock. Media such as acetone, ethanol and methanol can be handled in this way; oxygen-sensitive or high-purity liquids may be processed under inert gas. A G 2'' barrel screw connection together with the stopcocks seals drum and pump hermetically, limiting escape of solvent vapours after filling. The hangable pressure-control unit with manometer regulates inlet pressure and adds protection against incorrect operation. Connection to a mobile or stationary supply is possible at 3–10 bar. Suitable for UN containers and drums with a test pressure of at least 150 kPa, the system from manufacturer Bürkle supports controlled solvent handling in laboratories and chemical production while reducing spill and vapour exposure risks.

Questions about Withdrawal system for solvents-discharge tube 60cm
What is this article?
Withdrawal system for solvents-discharge tube 60cm is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Bürkle for laboratory use. It sits in Vacuum & pump accessories, inside Pumps, vacuum & evaporation, in Lab instruments.
Vacuum accessories are the traps, the gauges, the hoses and the controllers between a pump and a flask. A cold trap is what keeps solvent out of the pump. A gauge is how you know the vacuum is the one the method asked for, rather than a hope.
A vacuum pump lowers the pressure above a liquid so it boils at a lower temperature. That is the point of a rotary evaporator: solvent leaves a sample without cooking it. A diaphragm pump or a rotary-vane pump is chosen by the vacuum it reaches and by whether solvent vapour will destroy it. A peristaltic pump moves liquid by squeezing a tube, so the liquid touches only the tube. A barrel pump transfers a larger volume from a drum. The glassware on the evaporator is indexed under ISO laboratory glassware. Solvent identity is on PubChem.
