Description
C-Mount adapter 0,5X, Quantum BM is a camera mount accessory for Quantum BM microscopes, delivering a 0,5X optical factor at the C-mount interface for laboratory digital imaging. It couples standard C-mount cameras to the phototube or trinocular path so users can document specimens, share live views and support measurement tasks. Quantum BM instruments from manufacturer Labbox use an infinity-corrected optical system with Siedentopf-type binocular or trinocular heads inclined to 30°, interpupillary distance adjustable from 50 mm to 75 mm and 360° rotation, WF10X/20 mm wide-field eyepieces and an inverted quadruple nosepiece. Plan achromatic infinity-corrected objectives 4X, 10X, 40X and 100X (oil) with anti-fungus treatment, a 155 × 142 mm double-layer mechanical stage with 76 × 50 mm X-Y travel and 0,1 mm vernier, coaxial focusing to 0,002 mm precision, a centred Abbe condenser N.A. 1,25 with iris diaphragm and adjustable 3 W LED illumination complete the typical configuration. Supplied as 1 pc, this adapter fits research, education and routine lab setups standardised on the Quantum BM platform. Packaged gross weight is 0,5 kg.
This article is part of Microscope objectives, eyepieces & optics, in Microscopy & histology.

Questions about 0.5x C mount for Quantum BM trinocular port
What is this article?
0.5x C mount for Quantum BM trinocular port is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Labbox for laboratory use. It sits in Microscope objectives, eyepieces & optics, inside Microscopy & histology, in Instruments de laboratoire.
An objective makes the resolution. Magnification and numerical aperture are the two numbers, and the tube length or the infinity correction has to match the microscope. An eyepiece mostly enlarges the image the objective already resolved. A mismatched objective does not become sharper by zooming.
A light microscope forms an image with glass lenses and transmitted or reflected light. A stereo microscope is the lower-magnification instrument for dissecting and for looking at a surface. Fluorescence needs a light source and filters matched to the dye. Histology is the preparation that makes a tissue readable: fixation, a cassette, a section, a stain. The objective's magnification and numerical aperture decide the resolution. The slide and the cover glass decide whether the section sits in the focal plane. Stains and dyes as substances are identified on PubChem. Papers on the methods are on PubMed.
