MIXdrive 24 MTP stirring system with external control is an ultra-flat, wear-free magnetic stirrer with 24 stirring positions optimised for 24-well microtiter plates. The 24 (4×6) positions use a fully wear- and maintenance-free induction drive that delivers powerful mixing, 100 % synchronous rotation and jerk-free stirring even at low speeds. Its completely encapsulated, hermetically sealed stainless-steel housing is rated IP68, rendering the unit water-, dust- and germ-tight, extremely robust, easy to clean and highly resistant. The stirrer can be immersed in water or oil baths and is suitable for CO2 incubators and ovens; the Basic version operates up to +50 °C in air or submerged. Removable centring pins make it robot-compatible. Developed and made in Germany by manufacturer 2mag, it carries a three-year warranty on material and manufacturing defects. The separate MIXcontrol MTP controller must be ordered independently. Each position handles up to 3,5 ml at 19 mm spacing, maximum power is 10 W, dimensions are 140 × 102 × 26 mm and net weight is 1,1 kg.
