Description

AHN myPlate® FP Filter Plate 96-wells, 1 mL, GF/N filter, 1,6 µm is a microfilter plate configured in an 8 × 12 matrix with 96 individual outlet openings and 1,0 mL well capacity. Built to SBS standard dimensions, it is fitted with a glass fibre (GF/N) membrane of 1,6 µm pore size that delivers rapid flow rates together with high particle loading capacity. These filter characteristics make the plate particularly suitable for DNA and RNA purification as well as pre-filtration of particulate-laden solutions. Fabricated from high-purity polystyrene, the plate minimises any risk of sample contamination during multiwell processing. Supplied in a carton containing 5 × 5 units (25 plates total) from manufacturer AHN Biotechnologie, the format supports efficient parallel sample handling in molecular-biology and analytical workflows. The robust construction and standardised footprint ensure reliable performance on automated liquid-handling platforms and manual filtration manifolds alike.

This article is part of Glass & quartz fibre filters, in Filtration.

Questions about AHN myPlate FP 96-wells, 1 mL, GF/N Filter, 1.6 µm, Case / 5 x 5 pcs.

What is this article?

AHN myPlate FP 96-wells, 1 mL, GF/N Filter, 1.6 µm, Case / 5 x 5 pcs. is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes AHN Biotechnologie for laboratory use. It sits in Glass & quartz fibre filters, inside Filtration, in Consommables.

Glass-fibre and quartz-fibre filters are depth filters with a high dirt load, used for air sampling, for total suspended solids and in front of a membrane. They have no sharp pore-size cutoff the way a membrane does. Binderless grades matter when the filter will be weighed or heated.

Filtration holds back what is larger than the pores and lets the rest through. Paper is the ordinary laboratory filter. A membrane has a stated pore size and a polymer that must survive the solvent. A syringe filter is that membrane in a housing on a syringe. Glass fibre takes a higher dirt load. Ultrafiltration holds back macromolecules and passes salts. The pore size, the chemical compatibility and the volume are the three choices. Laboratory apparatus around filtration is indexed under ISO laboratory apparatus.
