Description

Anion Multi-element standard (IC) is a ready-to-use multi-anion calibration solution for ion chromatography in environmental and analytical laboratories. Offered as ROTI®Star, it contains seven anions in water at defined concentrations: ClO3⁻ (50 mg/l), Cl⁻ (300 mg/l), F⁻ (25 mg/l), NO2⁻ (50 mg/l), NO3⁻ (100 mg/l), PO4³⁻ (20 mg/l) and SO4²⁻ (300 mg/l). The aqueous matrix shows a density of about 1 g/cm³ and a boiling point around 100 °C, consistent with a water-based IC standard. Supplied in a 100 ml pack from manufacturer Carl ROTH, the solution supports calibration, instrument checks and multi-anion quantification in a single preparation. Laboratories performing environmental analysis and chromatographic determinations can use it to establish or verify response across the listed anions. The 100 ml volume offers practical handling for repeated calibration sequences in routine analytical suites without unnecessary bulk.

This article is part of ICP, AAS & ion standards, in Analytical standards & reference materials.

Questions about Anion Multi-element standard (IC)

What is this article?

Anion Multi-element standard (IC) is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Carl Roth for laboratory use. It sits in ICP, AAS & ion standards, inside Analytical standards & reference materials, in Produits chimiques.

An ICP, AAS or ion standard is a solution of a stated element or ion at a stated concentration, with an uncertainty. It is the calibration point of a spectrometer or an electrode. The matrix, often dilute acid, has to match the method. A standard past its expiry is not that concentration.

A reference material is the article against which another result is compared. Its value is stated, and the uncertainty of that value is part of the product. An ICP or ion standard is a solution of known concentration. A volumetric standard is for titration. A chromatography standard is the peak you match. The grade names, including pharmacopoeia and ASTM, say which impurities were limited. Identity is checked on PubChem. Names follow IUPAC. Medicinal grades follow the European Pharmacopoeia and USP.
