Description

AQUADUR Sensitive test strips are fine-range water-hardness indicators for samples in the very soft to soft region. The colour scale is graduated at 0, 0,3, 0,6 and 1,1 °dH, corresponding to 0, 5, 10 and 20 ppm CaCO3, so low hardness levels can be distinguished more clearly than with standard broad-range sticks. Each stick measures 6 × 95 mm and is ready for direct immersion testing without additional reagents or instruments. Supplied in a pack of 50 strips from manufacturer Macherey-Nagel, the product suits laboratories, service technicians and environmental users who need a quick check of soft water, reverse-osmosis permeate or low-mineral process streams. Results expressed in both German hardness degrees and ppm calcium carbonate support documentation across different reporting conventions. AQUADUR Sensitive provides a compact, portable option for screening before confirmatory titration or instrumental analysis, and the small pack size is practical for field kits and lower-volume routine monitoring.

This article is part of Test strips & indicator papers, in Test kits & water analysis.

Questions about AQUADUR Sensitive/50

What is this article?

AQUADUR Sensitive/50 is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Macherey-Nagel for laboratory use. It sits in Test strips & indicator papers, inside Test kits & water analysis, in Produits chimiques.

A test strip or indicator paper changes colour when it meets an ion, a pH or another analyte. It is a fast, coarse reading. The scale printed on the pack is the only scale that strip may be read against. A wet finger contaminates a pH paper before the sample does.

A test kit turns a chemical question into a colour, a titre or a reading on a strip, so the operator does not have to assemble the method from separate reagents. A cuvette test is a ready optical cell. A strip is a field reading. The range printed on the kit is the range where the answer means something. Outside it, the kit is silent or wrong. The substances inside are on PubChem. Water measurement traces to NIST.
