Description

Bags for contaminated waste are autoclavable polypropylene disposal bags manufactured from a special PP grade with high tear and puncture resistance. Measuring 310 x 660 mm, they are intended for the safe containment and disposal of contaminated laboratory waste such as used Petri dishes, test tubes, sample bottles, culture equipment and other materials associated with biological hazards. The material withstands pressure differences during autoclaving; bags should be left open during the sterilisation cycle. Strong side seams remain secure under pressure or load, supporting safe handling of the contents. Printed bags carry a blue biohazard marking together with a large labelling field for clear identification. They also serve as a practical option for temporary storage and transport of various laboratory items. Supplied as a pack of 50 non-sterile pieces from manufacturer ISOLAB Laborgeräte, these bags provide a durable, clearly marked solution for controlled waste streams in microbiology, clinical and research laboratories requiring autoclavable polypropylene disposal packaging.

This article is part of Autoclave & disposal bags, in Waste disposal.

Questions about bag - P.P - autoclavable - imprinted - 320 x 640 mm

What is this article?

bag - P.P - autoclavable - imprinted - 320 x 640 mm is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes ISOLAB for laboratory use. It sits in Autoclave & disposal bags, inside Waste disposal, in Sécurité.

An autoclave bag survives the steriliser and then holds the waste. A disposal bag is only the second half. Printed indicators, the temperature rating and the volume are the specification. A bag that melts at 121 °C is not an autoclave bag.

Laboratory waste is sorted before it is carried away. A solvent waste can has a cap and often a funnel that limits vapour. A sharps container is rigid and closable. An autoclave bag is for material that will be sterilised before it is ordinary waste. The container has to survive the chemical that goes into it. A bag that dissolves is not a container. Classification of the chemicals is on ECHA. Transport of dangerous goods is the UNECE framework. Workplace practice is EU-OSHA.
