Description
CellCamper® Mini freezing box for cells holds 12 × 5,0 ml cryogenic tubes and is intended for gentle freezing of mammalian cells, including cell lines, primary cells and stem cells. An innovative build combines a heat-conducting alloy with highly insulating outer materials so heat is removed evenly from every sample. In a −80 °C freezer the unit delivers a standardised, reproducible freezing rate of −1 °C per minute without isopropanol, removing alcohol handling, follow-up costs and any need for pre-cooling. Robust construction supports reliable cryopreservation with excellent cell recovery and viability. The lid can be taken off easily while frozen, gloves are not required when removing the box from the freezer, and the device is ready for reuse only five minutes after thawing once any condensate is wiped away. Supplied as 1 piece from manufacturer neolab - Labor, this compact freezing box suits controlled-rate cell banking and routine cryostorage workflows in research and production laboratories.
This article is part of Cryogenic vials & tubes, in Cryogenics & cold storage.

Questions about CellCamper® Mini Freezer Box for Cells, 12 x 5.0 ml Cryovials
What is this article?
CellCamper® Mini Freezer Box for Cells, 12 x 5.0 ml Cryovials is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes neolab for laboratory use. It sits in Cryogenic vials & tubes, inside Cryogenics & cold storage, in Consommables.
A cryogenic vial is a small tube with a seal made for very low temperatures. Internal and external threads differ. A vial that will see liquid nitrogen has to be rated for it, and it should not be overfilled, because trapped liquid expands. The cap insert is part of the seal.
Cold storage slows chemistry and keeps cells, proteins and nucleic acids from falling apart. A cryogenic vial is made to survive liquid-nitrogen temperatures and to be sealed against the liquid. A box and a rack are how those vials are found again. The article is not part of free standard delivery when it must stay cold: cold-chain goods are never included in that free delivery. Biosafety of the material inside is summarised by the WHO laboratory biosafety topic. Reference lines are held by ATCC.
