The instrument uses a stainless steel weighing plate and incorporates ShockProtect™ overload protection, tolerating loads up to 200 kg without harming the weighing mechanism. Security options include fastening via a chain and Kensington™ lock. It runs on 6 × AA batteries or an AC adapter rated 200–240 V / 50–60 Hz, with automatic shut-off for energy saving. Results appear on a large backlit display that is sharp and quick to read. Where the model has a 120 mm weighing plate, a removable draft shield is supplied and balances can be stacked for space-efficient storage. Overall external dimensions are 170 × 245 × 80 mm; net weight is 0,900 kg. Offered by manufacturer Labbox, the balance ships with a handbook, and an optional manufacturer calibration certificate (BAAC-CAL-001) can be ordered at the same time.
