Description
Counting system KERN CCA 100K-4M is a high-resolution counting solution for counting the smallest parts in large quantities, with a maximum displayable piece count of 999.999. Optional verification supports use in applications subject to legal metrology requirements, allowing one precise system to replace a broad range of individual scales cost-effectively. The reference unit is a KERN EWJ precision balance that can also be used alone; internal automatic adjustment every two hours maintains accuracy independent of location, and a protective working cover is included. Quantity counting is performed on the KERN IFS platform, built to heavy industrial standard for harsh environments. Its aluminium single-point load cell (1×3000 e) offers dust and splash protection to IP65. An ergonomic evaluation device with a large keypad and high-contrast displays presents weight, reference weight and total piece count for convenient entry of tare, reference and limit values. One hundred article memory locations store master data such as reference weight, reference quantity and container tare. Manual reference optimisation progressively refines the average part weight; piece summing plus date and time printing aid documentation. The balances are linked by an RS-232 Y-cable that also permits a printer connection. This complete counting system from manufacturer Kern is supplied as a single unit for professional piece-counting workflows.

Questions about Counting System KERN CCA 100K-4M
What is this article?
Counting System KERN CCA 100K-4M is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes KERN for laboratory use. It sits in Balance accessories, calibration & certificates, inside Balances & scales, in Instruments de laboratoire.
These are the draft shields, the pans, the ionisers, the printers and the calibration certificates that belong to a balance. A certificate states the errors found at stated loads. It does not make a different balance correct.
A balance compares a mass with a standard. An analytical balance reads to 0.1 mg or finer and needs a draft shield and a stable bench. A precision balance is coarser and faster. A platform scale takes a heavier load. The reading is only as good as the calibration chain back to the kilogram, which is why test weights and a certificate exist. A moisture analyser is a balance with a heater: it records the loss of mass as water leaves. The unit of mass is kept by the BIPM, compared across Europe by EURAMET, and accredited by BELAC. NIST publishes the same measurement foundations.
