Description
Counting system KERN CCA 100K-5M is a high-resolution parts-counting solution for quantifying even the smallest components in large batches, with a maximum displayable piece count of 999.999. Combining a KERN EWJ reference balance with a KERN IFS quantity platform, the system can cost-effectively replace a wide range of individual scales in laboratory and industrial counting tasks. An RS-232 Y-cable links the instruments and permits connection of an optional printer; optional verification supports use in legally controlled applications. The EWJ reference unit features internal automatic adjustment every 2 h, a standard draft shield with weighing chamber dimensions 134×128×80 mm, and a protective working cover. High-precision piece counting is performed on the robust IFS platform, which uses an aluminium single-point load cell (1×3000 e) with IP65 dust and splash protection for demanding environments. The ergonomic indicator offers three displays for weight, reference weight and total piece count, 100 article memory places, manual reference optimisation, piece summing, and date/time printing. This complete counting system from manufacturer Kern is supplied as one unit with protective covers included.

Questions about Counting System KERN CCA 100K-5M
What is this article?
Counting System KERN CCA 100K-5M is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes KERN for laboratory use. It sits in Balance accessories, calibration & certificates, inside Balances & scales, in Instruments de laboratoire.
These are the draft shields, the pans, the ionisers, the printers and the calibration certificates that belong to a balance. A certificate states the errors found at stated loads. It does not make a different balance correct.
A balance compares a mass with a standard. An analytical balance reads to 0.1 mg or finer and needs a draft shield and a stable bench. A precision balance is coarser and faster. A platform scale takes a heavier load. The reading is only as good as the calibration chain back to the kilogram, which is why test weights and a certificate exist. A moisture analyser is a balance with a heater: it records the loss of mass as water leaves. The unit of mass is kept by the BIPM, compared across Europe by EURAMET, and accredited by BELAC. NIST publishes the same measurement foundations.
