Description

Digital torque measuring instrument SAUTER DA, 1-4 is designed for convenient testing of screw closures on bottles, jars and similar packaging. It is optimised for torque checks on containers with twist closures from 15 mm to 160 mm diameter, supporting quality control in food, pharmaceutical and cosmetics production, including items such as lipstick packaging. A Quick-Pin system lets the four bottle holders be inserted rather than screwed, so changeovers between bottle sizes are fast. The metal housing suits lasting use in demanding environments, while rubber feet provide anti-slip stability. An ascending light band indicates remaining measuring capacity, and a backlit LCD graphic display presents readings clearly. Internal memory stores up to 500 measurement values for later transfer via optional software; USB and RS-232 interfaces are included. Peak-Hold captures peak values and Track mode shows continuous readings; measurement works in both rotation directions. Programmable upper and lower tolerance limits are supported by acoustic and optical signals, with AUTO-OFF for energy saving. The instrument from manufacturer Kern is supplied with four rubber-coated bottle holders and a robust carrying case.

This article is part of Hygrometers & humidity meters, in Temperature measurement.

Questions about Digital Torquemeter SAUTER DA 1-4

What is this article?

Digital Torquemeter SAUTER DA 1-4 is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes KERN for laboratory use. It sits in Hygrometers & humidity meters, inside Temperature measurement, in Instruments de laboratoire.

A hygrometer measures the water in the air, as relative humidity or as dew point. It is the instrument for a desiccator room, a stability chamber or a store. The sensor drifts, and the calibration is part of believing the number.

A thermometer reports a temperature. A liquid-in-glass thermometer is a calibrated column. A digital thermometer is a sensor and a display, and the sensor, not the display, is what is calibrated. An infrared thermometer reads a surface and depends on emissivity. A data logger stores the reading over time. Without a stated uncertainty and a calibration point, the number is only an indication. The scale is maintained by the BIPM and compared by EURAMET. Accreditation is BELAC.
