Digital torque measuring instrument SAUTER DA, 5-3 enables comfortable torque testing of screw closures on bottles, jars and related packaging. It is tailored for twist-closure containers with diameters from 15 mm to 160 mm and is widely applicable in food, pharmaceutical and cosmetics manufacturing, for example lipstick packs. The Quick-Pin arrangement allows the four bottle holders to be plugged in instead of screwed, speeding reconfiguration for different bottle sizes. A durable metal housing supports continuous work under robust conditions, and anti-slip rubber feet keep the unit stable. Remaining measuring capacity is shown by an ascending light band, while a backlit LCD graphic display ensures clear readout. Up to 500 measurement data sets can be stored internally and transferred to a PC with optional software; USB and RS-232 data interfaces are built in. Peak-Hold records peak torque and Track mode provides continuous display; the device operates in both directions of rotation. Upper and lower tolerance limits are programmable, with acoustic and optical process feedback, plus AUTO-OFF. Supplied from manufacturer Kern with four rubber-coated bottle holders and a sturdy carrying case.
