DURAN® Flat flange lid with four standard ground joint necks (three side necks and one centre) is designed for DN 150 flat flange vessels. These large-volume reaction vessels serve as alternatives to round-bottom flasks and comprise a lower part and lid held together by a clamping ring. A gasket or joint grease prevents the ground surfaces from seizing. The lid is equipped with a centre neck NS 29/32 and three vertical side necks NS 29/32, allowing ready combination with dropping funnels, stirrer shafts and further laboratory components. Fabricated from borosilicate glass 3.3, the geometry and solid wall thickness ensure pressure and vacuum resistance. Flat flange vessels are well suited to preparative tasks including general reactions, distillations, evaporations and drying processes involving solid and viscous substances.
