Description

Findenser™ NS19 cone, NS19 socket is a high-performance condenser with a length of 400 mm, suited for reflux syntheses with solvent volumes of up to 1 litre. This waterless cooling solution allows laboratories to save water, bench space and operating costs during reflux work while maintaining effective condensation. It features standard NS19 cone and NS19 socket ground joints for direct compatibility with common laboratory glassware assemblies. The unit can be secured with conventional laboratory clamps or with the Findenser™ mounting set available separately. From manufacturer Heidolph, the Findenser™ integrates readily into synthetic chemistry setups and magnetic stirrer accessories. Its robust construction is reflected in a net weight of 1,200 kg and a gross weight of 1,380 kg, supporting stable mounting during extended reaction times. By eliminating continuous cooling-water circulation, the condenser simplifies experimental workflows and reduces resource consumption. Suitable for organic synthesis and process development, this NS19 configuration offers a compact, reliable alternative to traditional water-cooled condensers for volumes up to one litre.

Questions about FindenserTM NS19 Cone, NS19 Socket

What is this article?

FindenserTM NS19 Cone, NS19 Socket is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Heidolph for laboratory use. It sits in Distillation heads, adapters & columns, inside Distillation & extraction glassware, in Matériel de laboratoire.

A still head, an adapter or a column is the glass between the boiling flask and the condenser. A Vigreux or packed column gives the vapour a surface so a closer-boiling mixture can separate. The joint sizes at both ends have to match the flask and the condenser.

Distillation separates liquids by boiling point. A condenser turns the vapour back into liquid: Liebig, coil and cold-finger shapes differ in how much cooling surface they offer. A still head and a column sit between the flask and the condenser. A Soxhlet extractor washes a solid again and again with the same solvent. Ground joints have a standard size, and the joint, not the flask, is what has to match. The pieces are indexed under ISO laboratory glassware.
