A backlit LCD with large 40 mm digits on a bright background provides clear readability and includes a capacity tracker; during checkweighing the backlight colour shifts to indicate under, over or within-limit status. Simple five-key operation streamlines setup and daily use, while a hold function freezes the displayed value. The robust ABS housing is built for demanding industrial workplaces. Power is supplied by mains cable, with an optional rechargeable battery for portable use and automatic power-off to conserve energy. External calibration allows verification and adjustment with weights. RS-232 is included for connection to computers and printers, and optional USB supports straightforward data exchange; print language is selectable. The indicator is supplied with a wall bracket.
