Measuring pipette of soda-lime glass, Class AS, Type 2 with blue print, Certificate of Conformity and batch certificate is intended for precise measuring and transferring of liquids. With a nominal volume of 5 ml these graduated pipettes permit uptake of differing liquid volumes and delivery either completely or in partial amounts of equal or varying size. Calibration is performed to delivery (“Ex”) at the +20 °C reference temperature; volume tolerances of the calibratable pipettes comply with the error limits of the German Weights and Measures Act as well as ISO and DIN. Fabricated from soda-lime glass to Class AS with a 15-second waiting time, the blue scale carries main-point ring graduation and is numbered from bottom to top (nominal volume at the top). Instruments of accuracy class AS that carry a batch number are accompanied by a batch certificate stating the mean value obtained from the batch, the standard deviation and the date of issue; certificates can also be retrieved online. The four-digit batch number encodes production year and batch. Distinctive features include rapid delivery that shortens waiting time relative to Class A, full-delivery design, cotton-plug end and a permanently fired blue print that remains easily legible.
