Description

Schlenk flask 25 ml NS 29/32 is a compact reaction and storage vessel for air- and moisture-sensitive chemistry. It is fitted with a side stopcock set at 45° with hollow plug and an 8 mm hose connection, enabling straightforward evacuation, inert-gas blanketing and reagent addition on a Schlenk line. The NS 29/32 ground joint provides a standard interface to condensers, dropping funnels or other jointed glassware. Made from borosilicate glass by Witeg, the flask combines good thermal shock resistance with chemical durability for routine synthetic operations. Its 25 ml working volume suits small-scale reactions, catalyst screening, NMR-scale preparations and temporary storage of sensitive intermediates. The angled side arm keeps the stopcock clear of the main body, simplifying manipulation under vacuum or positive pressure. Supplied as one piece, this Schlenk flask is a practical addition to any laboratory performing organometallic, inorganic or organic synthesis under controlled atmosphere.

This article is part of Round-bottom flasks, in Beakers & flasks. See also Flat-bottom flasks.

Questions about Nitrogen flasks, acc. to Schlenk, 25 ml,

What is this article?

Nitrogen flasks, acc. to Schlenk, 25 ml, is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Witeg for laboratory use. It sits in Ballons à fond rond, inside Béchers & fioles, in Matériel de laboratoire.

A round-bottom flask is the heating flask of a distillation or a reflux. The curved wall takes the heat, and the ground neck connects to a still head or a condenser. The joint size, not only the volume, has to match the rest of the set.

A beaker is an open working vessel: easy to pour, poor as a measure. An Erlenmeyer flask has a flat base and a conical wall so a liquid can be swirled without climbing out. A round-bottom flask is for heating under a condenser, because the heat meets a curved wall and the joint at the neck connects to the rest of the glassware. Borosilicate is the glass that survives the temperature change. These forms are listed under ISO laboratory glassware.
