ROTI®Prep Viral RNA/DNA MINI a été développé pour l'isolement d'ADN et d'ARN viral à partir de divers types de matériaux de départ. L'isolement est effectué via la technique éprouvée et fiable des colonnes spin, qui est très facile à manipuler et ne nécessite que peu d'étapes.

Le kit permet l'extraction simultanée d'ADNsb viral, d'ADNdb et d'ARNsb. La purification s'effectue en utilisant un ARN porteur, ce qui engendre une liaison plus forte de l'acide nucléique (ou de son complexe avec l'ARN porteur) sur le filtre spin et donc un meilleur taux de récupération. De plus, afin d'obtenir une pureté maximale des acides nucléiques pour chaque matériau de départ, 5 protocoles spécifiquement optimisés sont fournis. Ainsi, en env. 25 minutes, de l'acide nucléique viral de haute pureté est élué, exempt d'inhibiteurs. Cet acide nucléique peut être directement appliqué à des applications en aval, telles que la RT-PCR, la PCR, l'encapsidation, etc.
