Each sheet uses Munktell grade 601 paper with a PE coating, thickness 0,22 mm and basis weight 140 g/m². The ultra-absorbent carrier rapidly takes up toxic, infectious, aggressive and radioactive substances, helping prevent contamination of the covered surface. Softness of the carrier also lowers glass-breakage risk when glassware rests on the mat. Packs contain 50 sheets and suit lining of chemical cabinets, trays and work areas. In clinical laboratories the surface can be treated with disinfectants to help control contamination.
