Description
T 10 basic ULTRA-TURRAX® S002 is a compact handheld disperser fitted with a UK plug, intended for volumes of 0,5 – 100 ml (H2O). Its wide speed range from 8000 to 30000 min⁻¹ allows high peripheral speeds even when small rotor diameters are used. Numerous applications are supported by a large selection of dispersing tools. Quick-release coupling makes tool changes straightforward. Low weight and ergonomic design suit continuous hand operation, and direct mains connection without a transformer gives excellent freedom of movement. Stainless-steel dispersing tools can be dismantled without tools for fast cleaning; plastic disposable tools in two sizes are particularly useful for PCR analytics. The powerful drive maintains high speed constancy and quiet running. The dispersing tool itself is not included in the delivery. This unit from manufacturer IKA is supplied as 1 pc with a net weight of 1,100 kg and is designed for flexible laboratory homogenisation and dispersion work.
This article is part of Homogenisers & dispersers, in Stirring, shaking & mixing.

Questions about T 10 basic ULTRA-TURRAX® S002 , Disperser with UK plug
What is this article?
T 10 basic ULTRA-TURRAX® S002 , Disperser with UK plug is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes IKA for laboratory use. It sits in Homogenisers & dispersers, inside Stirring, shaking & mixing, in Instruments de laboratoire.
A homogeniser or disperser uses a rotor inside a stator to tear a sample and disperse it. Tip diameter and speed decide the particle size. A generator for 2 mL and a generator for 1 L are different tools on, sometimes, the same drive.
Stirring keeps a mixture uniform or helps a solid dissolve. A magnetic stirrer spins a bar inside a closed vessel. An overhead stirrer drives a shaft when the liquid is viscous or the volume is large. A vortex mixer agitates a tube. A shaker moves a whole rack or a plate. The shape of the impeller and the speed decide whether the liquid turns over or merely spins. The vessels being stirred are indexed under ISO laboratory glassware.
