Description
Volumetric flask, brown glass, white graduation, class A, KB, 50 ml, NS 14/23, coated is a precision measuring vessel for accurate preparation of light-sensitive solutions. Made from borosilicate glass 3.3, the brown body carries white graduations and a standard ground joint NS 14/23. A specially formulated transparent coating envelops the flask body like a protective glove; if breakage occurs it holds the fragments together and greatly reduces leakage of hazardous or valuable liquids, often retaining the solution inside the vessel. The coating withstands temperatures up to 135 °C for a maximum of 30 minutes, may be cleaned at up to 95 °C and autoclaved at 121 °C, but must never contact an open flame. Technical specifications match those of the corresponding clear and brown coated series. Offered in a practical pack of 2 pieces from manufacturer ISOLAB Laborgeräte, this class A KB flask is especially recommended whenever dangerous or precious solutions are handled and containment after accidental breakage is critical.
This article is part of Volumetric flasks, in Volumetric glassware.

Questions about volumetric flask - standard - amber - class A - conformity batch certified -
What is this article?
volumetric flask - standard - amber - class A - conformity batch certified - is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes ISOLAB for laboratory use. It sits in Volumetric flasks, inside Volumetric glassware, in Matériel de laboratoire.
A volumetric flask is calibrated to contain one volume at a reference temperature, with a single mark on a narrow neck. Class A is the tight tolerance. It is not a storage bottle and it is not for heating. The stopper is part of the calibrated article.
Volumetric glassware is glass that has been calibrated to contain or to deliver one stated volume at a reference temperature. That calibration is the whole point. Class A and class AS have a tighter tolerance than class B. A volumetric flask contains. A pipette and a burette deliver. A measuring cylinder is the coarser reading, used when the volume is not the result. The classes sit under ISO laboratory glassware. The chain back to the unit of volume is the work of the BIPM and of NIST.
