Description
Volumetric flask, brown glass with white graduation, class A, KB, 5 ml, NS 10/19, coated is a precision measuring vessel for accurate preparation of light-sensitive solutions. Made from heat-resistant borosilicate glass 3.3, the amber body is covered with a specially formulated transparent protective coating that behaves like a safety glove. Should the glass break, the coating holds the fragments together and greatly reduces leakage of hazardous or valuable liquids; in most cases the solution remains contained inside the flask. The coating withstands temperatures up to 135 °C for a maximum of 30 minutes, permits cleaning at up to 95 °C and autoclaving at 121 °C; direct contact with an open flame must be avoided. Technical specifications are identical to the corresponding clear and brown uncoated series. Offered in a pack of 2 pieces from manufacturer ISOLAB Laborgeräte, the flask features the standard NS 10/19 ground joint and class A calibration, making it well suited for analytical laboratories that require both volumetric accuracy and enhanced handling safety.
This article is part of Volumetric flasks, in Volumetric glassware.

Questions about volumetric flask - standard - amber - class A - conformity batch sertified -
What is this article?
volumetric flask - standard - amber - class A - conformity batch sertified - is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes ISOLAB for laboratory use. It sits in Volumetric flasks, inside Volumetric glassware, in Matériel de laboratoire.
A volumetric flask is calibrated to contain one volume at a reference temperature, with a single mark on a narrow neck. Class A is the tight tolerance. It is not a storage bottle and it is not for heating. The stopper is part of the calibrated article.
Volumetric glassware is glass that has been calibrated to contain or to deliver one stated volume at a reference temperature. That calibration is the whole point. Class A and class AS have a tighter tolerance than class B. A volumetric flask contains. A pipette and a burette deliver. A measuring cylinder is the coarser reading, used when the volume is not the result. The classes sit under ISO laboratory glassware. The chain back to the unit of volume is the work of the BIPM and of NIST.
