Description

Multi-channel cassette medium is a pump cassette for multi-channel laboratory liquid handling with flow rates from 0,24 to 27 ml/min. It suits tubing with 1,6 mm wall thickness and available tubing diameters of 0,8 and 1,7 mm; tubing can be obtained by the metre for custom channel layouts. When used with multi-channel pump head C 8, up to eight medium cassettes can be mounted, supporting denser parallel transfer compared with larger cassette formats. Net weight is 0,054 kg and supply is one piece. This cassette from manufacturer Heidolph is intended for peristaltic multi-channel systems in research and routine labs where moderate flow, smaller tubing diameters and higher channel count are needed for sampling, media feed or controlled dosing applications.

This article is part of Histology cassettes & moulds, in Microscopy & histology.

Questions about Multi-Channel Cassette medium

What is this article?

Multi-Channel Cassette medium is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Heidolph for laboratory use. It sits in Histology cassettes & moulds, inside Microscopy & histology, in Instruments de laboratoire.

A histology cassette holds a tissue through processing, and a mould forms the paraffin block. The cassette's holes have to let solvents through and still keep the specimen. A fine biopsy and a large organ are different cassettes.

A light microscope forms an image with glass lenses and transmitted or reflected light. A stereo microscope is the lower-magnification instrument for dissecting and for looking at a surface. Fluorescence needs a light source and filters matched to the dye. Histology is the preparation that makes a tissue readable: fixation, a cassette, a section, a stain. The objective's magnification and numerical aperture decide the resolution. The slide and the cover glass decide whether the section sits in the focal plane. Stains and dyes as substances are identified on PubChem. Papers on the methods are on PubMed.
