Description

TR 20 turbine stirrer (V4A) is a stainless-steel overhead stirring tool engineered for efficient mixing tasks in the laboratory. Thanks to the jagged profile of its stirring blade, the TR 20 is particularly well suited to the preparation of emulsions as well as the gassing or foaming of liquids. It performs optimally in vessels with an ideal diameter of 80–140 mm, a bottom clearance of 14–28 mm, a filling height of 80–140 mm and a working volume of 400–2,200 ml. The complete stirrer measures 400 mm in overall length and features an 8 mm diameter shaft, both fabricated from durable V4A stainless steel. This compact design from manufacturer Heidolph delivers reliable performance for medium-scale batch work while remaining easy to clean and chemically resistant. Supplied as one piece, the TR 20 turbine stirrer integrates readily with standard laboratory overhead drive systems for reproducible emulsion and aeration processes.

Questions about TR 20 Radial-Flow Impeller (V4A)

What is this article?

TR 20 Radial-Flow Impeller (V4A) is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Heidolph for laboratory use. It sits in Stirring shafts, propellers & impellers, inside Stirring, shaking & mixing, in Instruments de laboratoire.

A shaft, a propeller or an impeller is the wetted end of an overhead stirrer. The diameter and the pitch decide whether the liquid turns over. The material, stainless steel or PTFE, decides what the liquid may be. The chuck size has to match the stirrer.

Stirring keeps a mixture uniform or helps a solid dissolve. A magnetic stirrer spins a bar inside a closed vessel. An overhead stirrer drives a shaft when the liquid is viscous or the volume is large. A vortex mixer agitates a tube. A shaker moves a whole rack or a plate. The shape of the impeller and the speed decide whether the liquid turns over or merely spins. The vessels being stirred are indexed under ISO laboratory glassware.
