2mag MIXdrive 6 MTP stirring system with external control for microtiter plates is an ultra-flat, wear-free magnetic stirrer featuring six stirring positions arranged in a 2×3 layout and optimised for 4-well microtiter plates. The unit employs the maintenance-free 2mag inductive drive for powerful, 100 % synchronous and jerk-free mixing even at low speeds, with a maximum stirring volume of 20 ml per position and a maximum power of 10 W. Its fully encapsulated, hermetically sealed stainless-steel housing (IP68) is water-, dust- and germ-tight, highly robust and easy to clean; the drive can be immersed in water or oil baths and is suitable for use in CO2 incubators and ovens. The MIXdrive Basic version operates up to +50 °C, offers removable centring pins and is robot-compatible. Dimensions are 140 × 102 × 26 mm with a shipping weight of approx. 1,3 kg. Developed and made in Germany by manufacturer 2mag, the system requires a separate MIXcontrol MTP controller (ordered separately) and carries a three-year warranty on material and manufacturing defects.
