DG 3.10 herkent desmogleïne 1 + 2 (desmosoom-specifieke cadherines) in cellen die desmosomen bevatten; reageert niet met cellen die plaque-bevattende verbindingen van het niet-desmosomale type bevatten. Specifiek gedetecteerde tumoren: alle tumoren van epitheliale oorsprong, met name carcinomen en meningeomen. Reagerend polypeptide: Mr 165 000 Desmogleïne, 'band 3'-polypeptide van het desmosomale complex. Het herkende epitoop is gelokaliseerd bij het herhalende eenheidsdomein ('RUD') van het cytoplasmatische C-terminale deel van het polypeptide. Reactiviteit op gekweekte cellijnen: A-431, MDBK.
