BMT-20-S-IVD1.50 is a disposable mixing vessel with integrated stirring unit, gamma-sterilised and carrying IVD labelling for in-vitro diagnostic use. Each single-use tube is simply sterile-packed and contains a stirring unit, ten 5 mm stainless steel balls and 5 ml of 0,90% saline solution, plus a pierceable membrane in the screw cap. The design supports microbiological and molecular biological analysis of patient samples by enabling sample comminution through tube motion. It is especially well suited for process-reliable disruption with the IKA ULTRA-TURRAX® Tube Drive. Nominal volume is 20 ml with a working range of 5–15 ml; typical applications include dry grinding, cell disruption and wet comminution. Manufactured by IKA to ISO 13485:2016 and classified as an in-vitro diagnostic device under Directive 98/79/EC, the tubes are released for all EU countries. Maximum automated processing time is one minute; longer runs may cause mechanical stress and leakage and must be validated by the user. Pack of 50 pieces.
