Bode Hand Disinfectant Sterillium is the classic hand disinfectant noted for particularly good skin compatibility and refatting properties. It is bactericidal, fungicidal, tuberculocidal and limited virucidal, including activity against HBV, HIV and HCV, and is effective against herpes simplex virus, influenza A virus, SARS virus as well as adeno-, papova- and rotavirus. Approximately 3 ml are sufficient for application; comprehensive activity covers bacteria, fungi and enveloped viruses. The product is listed in RKI list area A and VAH. For surgical hand disinfection an exposure time of 1,5 minutes applies. Active ingredients are propan-2-ol, propan-1-ol and mecetronium ethyl sulphate. Even with continuous use the preparation remains exceptionally well tolerated. Supplied in a 100 ml pack (nominal volume 0,1 l) from manufacturer neolab - Labor, Sterillium supports reliable hygienic and surgical hand disinfection in laboratory and clinical settings. Flash point is 23 °C; the liquid and vapour are flammable, so contact with open flames and ignition sources must be avoided.
