Dubbele waterontharder DUO-08 LF is een volautomatische, volumegestuurde dubbeltank-kastontharder voor continue zachtwatertoevoer en ideale voorbehandeling vóór omgekeerde-osmosesystemen. Hij werkt zonder elektrische voeding; mechanische regeneratieregeling houdt zacht water rond de klok beschikbaar, ook tijdens regeneratie. Het LF-lagedebietmondstuk detecteert volumestromen vanaf 0.19 l/min tot een maximum van 19 l/min, wat hardheidsdoorslag bij lage vraag helpt vermijden. Twee glasvezelversterkte harstanks met 2 × 4.5 l kationuitwisselingsmateriaal staan in een PE-kast die ook als zoutoplosvat dient, met een zoutvoorraad van 8 kg. Tegenstroomregeneratie gebruikt alleen zacht water, zodat hardheidsvormers de hars tijdens het spoelen niet kunnen beladen; de pekel wordt eveneens met zacht water bereid. Kunststof componenten ondersteunen corrosiebestendigheid. De bedrijfsdruk is 1.75–8.5 bar, de aansluitmaat 3/4'' en het temperatuurbereik 1–49 °C. Een typische regeneratie gebruikt ongeveer 0.5 kg zout en 34 l water in ongeveer 11 minuten, met terugspoeling bij 5.3 l/min. De complete dubbeltank-kleppenset omvat een geïntegreerde watermeter, hardheidsschijven, ruwwaterslang en hardheidstestkit van fabrikant Evoqua Water Technologies (Kinetico ®). De afmetingen zijn 560 mm hoogte, 230 mm breedte en 465 mm diepte.
