Beschrijving

Findenser™ Mini NS14 cone, NS14 socket is a high-performance condenser ready for immediate use in reflux syntheses with solvent volumes up to 125 ml. Equipped with standard NS14 cone and NS14 socket joints, it integrates directly into conventional laboratory glassware trains. The compact cooler can be secured with ordinary laboratory clamps or with the dedicated Findenser™ fastening set available separately. By removing the need for continuous cooling-water flow, the Findenser™ Mini helps laboratories reduce water consumption, free valuable bench space and lower operating costs during routine reflux work. Supplied as a single piece from manufacturer Heidolph, the unit has a net weight of 0,701 kg and a gross weight of 0,900 kg, with packaging dimensions of 0,40 m × 0,11 m × 0,11 m and a volume of 0,005 m³. It is particularly suited as an accessory for magnetic stirrers and small-scale synthetic chemistry setups that require reliable, water-free reflux cooling. The design emphasises rapid deployment, straightforward mounting and resource-efficient operation for organic synthesis and related laboratory applications.

This article is part of Distillation heads, adapters & columns, in Distillation & extraction glassware.

Questions about FindenserTM Mini NS14 Cone, NS14 Socket

What is this article?

FindenserTM Mini NS14 Cone, NS14 Socket is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Heidolph for laboratory use. It sits in Distillation heads, adapters & columns, inside Distillation & extraction glassware, in Labmateriaal.

A still head, an adapter or a column is the glass between the boiling flask and the condenser. A Vigreux or packed column gives the vapour a surface so a closer-boiling mixture can separate. The joint sizes at both ends have to match the flask and the condenser.

Distillation separates liquids by boiling point. A condenser turns the vapour back into liquid: Liebig, coil and cold-finger shapes differ in how much cooling surface they offer. A still head and a column sit between the flask and the condenser. A Soxhlet extractor washes a solid again and again with the same solvent. Ground joints have a standard size, and the joint, not the flask, is what has to match. The pieces are indexed under ISO laboratory glassware.
