HA.ba.1 baffle basket is designed to minimise vortex formation inside the bioreactor vessel during stirring. By disrupting bulk swirl, the baffles improve mixing efficiency and help maintain more uniform conditions throughout the liquid volume. The accessory is especially suitable for fermentation processes where controlled hydrodynamics support gas dispersion and nutrient distribution.
It is intended for 1-litre glass vessels and integrates as a basket-style insert compatible with standard laboratory bioreactor setups of that scale. Reduced vortexing contributes to more stable operation at higher agitation rates and can limit surface foaming associated with strong central vortices.
